Largest growth in australia is in the following industry sectors:
      · Banking
      · Finance
      · Information and
      · Communications Technology

\\\ Energy: Australia generates (I don't know exact number) but damn near 80% of its power from COAL. Australia puts more green house emissions per person per capita than any other nation. (mostly due to its coal burning).

Australia has a large series of deposits of Natural Gas

Wind power? Hmmmm I would look into VAST solar Arrays first.

The interior of this country is dry as a bone and sunny.

        Kevin,

I'm quite interested in your take on aussie growth sectors. What do you mean by 'information' as a sector? Do you mean information management, information technology?

Why do you see financial services expanding?

Just a curious young aussie starting in the workforce looking for some career direction...

          Lani,
Welcome. This information is not from myself, rather gleaned from four sources: the ANZ job information (which is backed up by a few indexes in the careers/recruitment industry) the IMF economic report, the Australian government stats, and finally the Sydney Morning Herald has a measurement metrics, for growth.

Information- the whole gamit as one industry sector
